IFTIP– Israeli Friends of the Tibetan People
![]() The Israeli Friends of the Tibetan People works towards the goal of helping the exiled Tibetan people, and raising awareness in Israel regarding the plight of Tibet. The organization was established by a group of Israelis who in 1989 met Tibetan refugees who had been exiled from their homes following the Chinese occupation. The great similarity between their story and that of the Jewish people, and the choice of the Tibetans to wage their struggle without turning to violent means, aroused in us a need to assist them, since only 60 years ago we were in the place they are in today.
